The Hope Project

LGLO Global is partnering with trusted leaders and child protection advocates in Burundi to launch a comprehensive initiative focused on protecting vulnerable children, strengthening orphanage care, and creating sustainable family-based solutions for the future.
Our mission is not simply to provide temporary relief. We are working to transform the systems surrounding vulnerable children by addressing urgent medical needs, improving living conditions, implementing trauma-informed care, equipping caregivers through professional training, and establishing stronger child protection and accountability measures.
This initiative began in response to the growing crisis at Jabe Orphanage, where children are facing severe medical, emotional, and safety challenges. But our long-term vision reaches far beyond one orphanage. Through partnerships with local communities, churches, caregivers, and government leaders, we aim to create lasting change that restores dignity, safety, healing, and hope to children across Burundi.
Over the next two years, this project will focus on:
• Emergency medical and hygiene support
• Trauma-informed mental health care for children and caregivers
• Child protection systems and oversight
• Caregiver training and professional development
• Improved sanitation and safe living environments
• Community and church engagement in child protection
• Family reunification and family-based care initiatives
• Long-term sustainability and local leadership development
We believe every child deserves to be safe, loved, protected, and given the opportunity to thrive. Together, we can help build a future where no child is forgotten.
